Sportive

The development of mass start rides over recent years has not been overlooked by club members. Sportive rides take place in all localities of Wales and England with many in South Wales. To enter these rides members have to sign on and pay the fee as an individual.
Sportives are very often split into two or three distances on the same day so that riders of various fitness and commitment levels can take part. Many sportives are organised by charitable organisations as a way of raising funds.

Within the Club there a many members who regularly take on the challenge of a sportive and would be more than willing to support and advise new members of the most suitable rides to enter

Club Weekend Rides are always popular with members, meeting at a central point and riding as a group to a destination where accommodation is pre-booked. After a social night recovering from the day’s ride, the group will return home, usually via a shorter route. The Gallery also contains a variety of files documenting weekends to Swansea, Hay-on-Wye, Llandrindod and Llandovery amongst others.  These rides take place whatever the weather, though there will always be a “Plan A” and “Plan B” to take account of weather conditions.
